Allocating time every week to your Virtual Assista

Allocating time every week to your Virtual Assistant business can be tough. If you feel like you don't have enough time. Do this exercise to determine how much time you really have.

Create a to-do list for each of the five major areas of your life – business, health, finance, spiritual and family. Write down everything you need to do in each of these areas in one week, don't cheat, I mean everything. This will only work if you're honest with yourself. The end result will give you a complete picture of how much time you actually have to devote to your Virtual Assistant Business.

You may be surprised to discover that you don't actually have a lot of time every day to do all that you need to do. Putting everything down on paper allows you to see exactly what can be delegated to others, and what you yourself will work on.

It may be time to get yourself some help.

Every Virtual Assistant startup is different.

It’s impossible to judge how much it will cost you to get off the ground. Different countries and states will have different legal requirements.

In some instances, seeing what you can get for free or at a low cost is always great when first starting out. Having the very best, to begin with, doesn't mean you will be a better VA.

I would recommend that you check in with family and friends, they can be a great source for equipment and office furniture if you have the space to create an office.

When I started JMJ - EA for a Day, we modified a closet in a spare bedroom so I would have a desk to sit at rather than the kitchen table. Things have changed a lot since then 🙂

The bells and whistles can come later. Use them to reward yourself as you accomplish milestones. They will have more meaning and become part of your story.
