My top 10 virtual assistant resources needed a review after I first wrote about them in Jan 2018, a lot has happened since then so  I’ve revised my list for 2020.

The internet is flooded with millions of resources for iOS and Android.  It can be a minefield working out which Apps or websites you should use to help your virtual assistant business.

I’ve tried many apps and resources over the past nine years, some I still use today, but a lot of them have gone by the wayside. My original top 10 from 2018 has now grown for 2020.

Virtual Assistant Resources

  1. Evernote – This is where I send the brainstorming for all my projects.
  2. Gmail – The most straightforward way to manage my domain is via Google, and I find it to be the best and easiest way to manage and access my emails
  3. MailChimp – I love the simplicity of using this program for managing my mailing list and newsletters.
  4. Grammarly – Unless you’re grammar is 100% (and mine certainly isn’t) it’s a great fall back. I have the paid version, one of the best annual investments I make.
  5. Canva – I use the pro version of Canva for social media, and document graphics production, the program has grown so much since it was first available.
  6. Loom – I use Loom for doing quick videos for instructions and also for doing quick personal video’s to put in emails. They have also released the Loom App for iOS, and you can download it here.
  7. Xero – My accounting program, my bookkeeper, and accountant have access, thus streamlining my financial process.
  8. Zoom – Video calls with coaching clients and my client meetings and free for one on one calls for as long as you like
  9. Time and Date – Meeting planner and time converter need I say more.
  10. XE Currency Converter – This is still my go-to currency conversion App.
  11. Memo Mailer – This app is great for on the run ideas, simply open the app, push the button and say what you want. Release the button, and your recording is sent to you in an email.
  12. Camtasia by Techsmith – This is great for quick editing of videos. I’m not an expert in this area, but I think Camtasia makes the process the easiest that I’ve used.
  13. Marco Polo – This is like using a walk talk only with video. Quick short sharp messages backwards and forwards with clients. It’s more personal and faster than texting.
  14. Book Like A Boss – The best and most visually appealing booking calendar tool around.
  15. Todoist – A task/ and reminder tool that you can use to manage projects. The only downside is you need to go paid because the free version gives no flexibility at all.
